Rick
Newell
|
Rick Newell’s service in churches began when he
served on an advisory board for student ministries while in
college. He has been church librarian at two churches, taught
Sunday school, and served on a stewardship committee and a church
administrative board. Rick made his career choice, to be a
librarian, in eighth grade. That choice led him to work in
several different libraries through the years.
For the past twenty years, Rick has been a
librarian at the Lacey office of one of the world’s largest
non-profit library cooperatives, traveling through western states
to do training, technical support, and customer service.

My wife, Sylvia, and I have been happily married for thirty-two
years. Our faith in the Lord has grown significantly since moving
to Olympia from Lafayette, Louisiana in 1986.
During my career, I have been employed as a band director, music
master teacher, musical instrument repairman, oil field worker, lab
manager, computer programmer, database administrator and security
administrator. Currently, I work for Labor and Industries as the
manager of their Information Services Security Office.
My decision to accept the appointment as Church Elder for New
Beginnings Bible Fellowship was done after much prayer and
supplication about the privilege and responsibility of this
position. To the best of my ability, I will commit the experiences,
talents, knowledge and wisdom God has granted to me, for ministering
to the needs of this body of believers and to the mission of His
Church. |
